In Dublin with my family by Guillaume, 5°1

        Je m'appelle Guillaume et je suis parti pendant une semaine.

J'ai visité Dublin avec ma cousine qui travaille chez Yahoo. J'ai vu le Spire (une aiguille de 120 mètres de haut au centre de Dublin), la statue de Molly Malone, Trinity College, l'église de Saint Patrick et des statues de bronze que les irlandais mettent un peu partout.

Un mauvais point de Dublin, c'est la propreté car Dublin est une grosse poubelle mais ils sont très accueillants.

1) Grand Canal Dock :

We stayed at Grand Canal Dock for one week.
There were cranes everywhere.

I saw the old town of Dublin and the new town of Dublin.

Next to the Grand Canal, it was very calm but there was litter everywhere.

The canal has become a big real dump.

Irish people put statues everywhere !



There was once a gas tank. It was put down and a lot of apartments were built on the spot.

The spire is a needle. It is one hundred and twenty metres high.

5) Churches :

Christ Church.


Saint Patrick : the bell of liberty hides the work.

6) Howth :

Howth is a town by the sea.


The sea and the moor.


The sea and the harbour.


A very old castle.

7) The National Botanic Garden :

The trees in the botanic garden are huge.

In the greenhouse, the banana trees are 6 metres high.


This is a cactus in the greenhouse.


My brother gives the squirrels something to eat.




The trees are in bloom.

8) Malahide :

The castle of Malahide is like the castle of Howth.

9) Trinity :

Molly Malone ! The musician plays music but not for Molly Malone :

Trinity College is a very huge college.


And the trees too.

10) Wicklow :

The monastery and the celtic cross are old but beautiful.

The lake and the falls are beautiful but not the walk to go to the falls because there are a lot of steps.
