MON VOYAGE EN IRLANDEMy trip to Ireland
As I went there two years ago, I might not remember everything...
Je suis partie en Irlande plus exactement à DUBLIN sa capitale, il y a 2 ans. Mais je ne suis pas restée à Dublin ; j’ai traversé l’Irlande d’Est en Ouest jusqu’à GALWAY ou je suis restée deux jours dans un B&B (Bed and Breakfast)
I went to Dublin, the capital of Ireland, two years ago. I didn't
stay in Dublin. We drove across the country from Dublin to Galway where I spent a couple of days in a Bed&Breakfast.
Nous sommes ensuite remonté à SLIGO où nous avons passé deux jours.Nous sommes allé visiter le cimetière de Drumcliff ou est enterré le poète Yeats.
Then, we went to Sligo where we spent two days. We visited Drumcliff cemetery where Yeats was buried.
Ensuite nous sommes partis dans le Comté de Donegal où on s’est baladé le long des côtes pour aller voir la plus haute falaise d’Europe Slieve League où on a eu l’impression que c’était le bout du monde.
Next, we went to County Donegal where we walked on a coastal path to go and see the highest cliff in Europe : Slieve League. We felt as if we had reached the end of the world.
On est ensuite allé à Londonderry en Irlande du nord. Nous avons visité la ville par les vieux remparts qui l’encerclent.
Then, we drove to Londonderry in Northern Ireland where we went for a walk on the city walls.
De violents affrontements ont eu lieux dans cette ville entre les protestants et les catholiques et nous avons vu le monument Bloody Sunday, qui rappelle le dimanche 30 janvier 1972 où l’armée anglaise a tué treize manifestants catholiques. Maintenant la guerre civile est terminée en Irlande du nord.
There were violent troubles in
this city between the Protestants and the Catholics. We watched the monument which pays a tribute to Bloody Sunday and reminds everyone of Sunday, 30th January 1972 when the English army
killed thirteen demonstrators. The civil war is now over (??) in Northern Ireland.
De retour à Dublin nous sommes allés voir les amis d’enfance Irlandais de ma maman chez qui elle avait passé 2 mois.
Back to Dublin, we visited old fIrish riends of my mother's
where she stayed for two months when she was younger.
Ce qui m’a plu le plus c’est surtout les GUINNESS que j’ai goûté dans les pubs !!!!!!!
Most of all, I like the
Guiness I tasted in a pub !
Pour moi ce voyage a été fantastique, et même drôle car lorsque l’on rentrait dans des boutiques avec mes parents, les caissières se moquaient de nous parce qu’on ne parlait pas bien anglais !
This was a fantastic trip. It was funny too : everytime we got
into shops with my parents, cashiers would laugh at us because we didn't speak English well !
Je serais très contente si je pouvais y retourner.
I would be very pleased if I
could go back there.
