Dear Marie,

This is Berenice’s teacher, Ms. Blum. I am not sure if I will get a letter from her for you. You see, Berenice is ill and has left school for the year. Don’t worry—she will be fine. She is at home recovering. She doesn’t really like to talk about being sick.

Our class has been reading William Shakespeare and we are making a movie of the story. We re-wrote it into “modern” English. We are preparing for our final exams also.

Our school year ends on May 24. We will resume classes again in late August. I hope your exams go well and that you have a pleasant summer!
